Ronald G. Howard, age 78, The Villages, FL, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015. He was born in Cochran, Georgia and moved to Leesburg, FL at age 2. He graduated from Leesburg High School, U.S. Naval Electronic School, and Geometric Optics from U of F. He worked in the Space Industry around the U.S. for many years as an electronic engineer, and the last twenty years for Lynch Machinery as their V.P. for National and International sales. Ron retired to the Villages in 1998, and continued his interest in plants and his yard, plus many projects in wood working and other crafts. Ron was very involved with Community United Methodist Church, Fruitland Park, for many years. He enjoyed working with the children on Wednesdays in their wood working projects and any other children projects during the years. He was in the choir, a past Trustee, organizer of the Good Samaritan group and worked on many committees. His priority was always his family and his church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Martha Howard, son John Howard and wife Cori, Grandsons Sloan and wife Catherine, and Zaen; Great Grandchildren Cora Mae, Aydin and Gemma Howard, and Calib Schramm. There will be a Memorial Service at the Community United Methodist Church on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. Contributions may be made to the Church Building Fund or the Children’s Ministry on Ron’s behalf.
