Rosalyn B. Giles

Rosalyn B. Giles

Rosalyn B. Giles, 71, a much-loved wife and mother of The Villages, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 14, 2017 with her family present. Rosalyn was born February 6, 1946 in Marietta, GA to her parents, Dorothy Allison Bronson and Joseph Robert Bronson, who proceeded her in death.

Rosalyn and Seymour relocated to The Villages from Marietta, GA in 2001. Rosalyn was always active in her community, both in Georgia and Florida. Rosalyn and Seymour served as foster parents for 10+ years while in Georgia.

After relocating to The Villages Rosalyn was a member of the Hacienda S/W Women’s Club and served as Chairman of the Charity Committee. She was the Queen Mum of her Red Hat Society Chapter and a volunteer for Hospice for 11 years. Rosalyn was a life-affirming person and enjoyed many hobbies and passions, including Mahjong, sewing, crafting, crochet, gardening, Square/Round dancing, Operation Shoebox and traveling. She also enjoyed her work as a Mary Kay beauty consultant for 13 years, because of the many new people she got to meet. She was a faithful servant and enjoyed her daily devotion time using Dr. Charles Stanley’s In Touch devotions. Her faith was a great comfort to her in the end, and a great witness to her family and friends.

Survivors include her loving husband, Seymour; daughters, Melanie and Robyn (husband, Joe Brooks and stepson, BJ); niece, Christine Woodward; nephew, Roddy Bronson; and countless cousins.

A Visitation will be held at the Fairway Christian Church located at 251 Avenida Los Angelos, The Villages, FL on Friday, January 5, 2017 from 1 to 2 p.m. with a Memorial Service following at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 900 Main St., Suite 208, The Villages, FL 32159.

The Giles Family would like to extend our deepest appreciation to all the nurses and care givers at Compassionate Care, Fairway Christian Church, and those who have grieved with us and supported us through this time of loss. May God bless you all and may His light shine eternally on us all.
