A Sam’s Club membership card and video surveillance led to the arrest Monday morning of a Recreation Plantation woman.
Deborah Lynn Shepherd, 59, who also lists addresses in Ohio and Kentucky, allegedly entered Sam’s Club in Lady Lake on Wednesday morning and selected Bluetooth and Bose headphones with a combined value of $299.76, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
She entered the restroom and allegedly concealed the headphones before walking out of the store, the arrest report indicated. The packaging for the headphones was later found in the restroom.
She was identified by her Sam’s Club membership card on video surveillance.
She had previous convictions for retail theft and is currently on probation for retail theft in Kentucky.
She was booked at the Lake County Jail and later released after posting $2,000 bond.
