Sandra ‘Sandy’ J. Parrott

Sandra (“Sandy”) J. Parrott, age 74, of The Villages passed away peacefully in her sleep of an apparent heart attack on April 14, 2015. Sandy was born August 25, 1940 in Rome, New York and lived most of her life in upstate in the Village of Sylvan Beach. Sandy graduated from Oneida High School and Down’s Air School, and was an airline stewardess for Mohawk Airlines. From there she became a top sales representative for Dutchmaid and was active in community affairs becoming the first female trustee for the Village of Sylvan Beach. After her success with Dutchmaid and raising a family she went to work for friends at Eddie’s Restaurant where she was employed for 25 years. Sandy loved working and enjoyed meeting interesting people. Sandy is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, John L. Parrott, and their two sons, John R. Parrott (his partner Larry Battisti) and Scott C. Parrott (his two children; Lydia and Kelly), her sister Lillian Warner and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service is planned for upstate New York sometime in late June of this year.
