Santa LiPuma, 82, of Summerfield, FL, passed from this life Saturday, March 14, 2015. Born in Astoria, NY she was the daughter of the late Laurence and Saveria (Traglia) Marino.
Santa was a retired benefit authorizer for the Social Security Administration in New York City. She came to Silver Springs, FL from New York in 1993 and moved to the Del Webb Community in Summerfield in 1998. Santa was an avid quilter and was a member of the Busy Bee Quilters of Belleview. Besides her award winning work with quilting she enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Santa was an avid bingo player and also enjoyed dominos. She hosted the Friday Night Domino Club at her home for several years. Santa was very proud of her marriage of 60 years to her husband Leonard and their family. Santa leaves her husband Leonard, daughter, Lorraine LiPuma at home, son, Peter LiPuma and son-in-law, Edmond Madigan of Summerfield, and grandchildren, Donald Moore and Jane Moore and great grandchildren Arianna Moore and Samuel Moore. The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation to be held at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages on Tuesday March 17, 2015 from 2 to 6 p.m.. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 11528 SE Highway 301, Belleview on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 10 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Marion County Hospice.

Bring back the pool attendants so IDs can be checked
