Search is on for 21-year-old suspect in death of woman found lying by roadway

A murder warrant has been issued for the arrest of 21-year-old Terrance Kwamaine Williams of Wildwood after a 35-year-old woman’s body was found this weekend on County Road 231.

Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 9200 block of County Road 231at 11:18 a.m. Sunday regarding a deceased woman lying on the side of the road. The victim, who had suffered upper body trauma, was identified as Barbara Lynn Grubb of Summerfield.

Williams is being charged with second degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The sheriff’s office is asking for witnesses or anyone with information on the whereabouts of Williams to come forward. Anyone with information in reference to this case is asked to contact the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office of Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
