Selfish actions shut down Villages Lifelong Learning College

To the Editor:

A message to Louis Schwarz and The Villages deaf community: A lawsuit? Really? What ever happened with working together to solve a problem without a lawyer involved? I have worked with the TVLLC staff for many years as an instructor and a student and they have always been so accommodating. Why couldn’t your group have helped TVLLC provide you with what you need? More interpreters? I’m sure you know where to get them. Money for equipment? How about your group doing a fundraiser? Villagers are very generous when they know it is for a good cause. Your statement: TVLLC has “chosen to retaliate against members of the deaf community by closing its doors” sounds to me like a statement someone would make who needs to hire a lawyer to solve his problems. Your selfish actions have ruined an exceptional benefit for all Villagers – The Villages Lifelong Learning College.
