Seniors vs. Crime to hold grand opening for new office at Brownwood

Seniors vs. Crime will hold a grand opening at 10 a.m. Wednesday for their new office at Brownwood Paddock Square.

In an effort to continue to reach out to Villagers, particularly new ones, Seniors vs. Crime has opened an office at Brownwood Paddock Square. Seniors vs. Crime is sharing office space with the Wildwood Police Department next door to the Barnstorm Theater. Seniors vs. Crime also has an office at the Sumter County Sheriff’s Annex at the intersection of Morse Boulevard and County Road 466. A Marion County branch of Seniors vs. Crime is located at 8230 Southeast 165th Mulberry Lane here in The Villages.

Seniors vs. Crime is an arm of the Florida Attorney General’s office and investigates and attempts to resolve cases involving fraud, scams and civil disputes. Since 2002, the local Seniors vs. Crime unit has recovered  $4.5 million for local residents. Its 50 volunteers routinely handle 50 to 60 cases a month.
