The driver of a Chevy Blazer was transported from the scene of a mid-morning accident on Buena Vista Boulevard at Parr Drive.
Traffic was blocked on Buena Vista Boulevard near Laurel Manor Recreation Center as the Florida Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
The driver of the Chevy Blazer was reportedly transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A second vehicle, a four-door sedan, sustained front-end damage in the collision. The driver of that vehicle was uninjured and was able to drive away from the scene after being interviewed by FHP.
The Villages Public Safety Department and Sumter County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
