Sex offender jailed without bond following his arrest at construction site

A 26-year-old convicted sex offender was arrested Thursday afternoon at a construction site in Wildwood.

Julius D. Samuels, 26, was taken into custody at 1:42 p.m. at a construction site at Purslane Place and Julia Court, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to comply with sex offender reporting requirements.

He was being held without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.
