Sharon L. Grier, 60, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on June 16, 2017. Sharon was dedicated to her craft of 38 years – educating young people, forever leaving her footprint in their minds and hearts. She was well known for her kind and generous spirit, her love of children, and her unending support for her friends and family. Additionally, she attended Congregation Beth Shalom in Leesburg.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 37 years Dr. Kenneth Grier of Leesburg, FL; daughter Dr. Elana Grier and husband Ari Becker and their children Davis and Sadie Becker, all of Groveland, FL; son Michael Grier and his wife Shamaron Grier of Oviedo, FL; sister Dr. Donna Holland and brother Richard Levy. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Selma Levy.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 9 a.m. in the Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home in Leesburg and will be officiated by Rabbi Karen Allen.

The family asks no flowers be sent, rather, donations be made in Sharon’s name to the American Cancer Society Tampa Hope Lodge, which housed her and her family throughout her final months.
