Sheriff Farmer thanks those who supported pancake breakfast

To the Editor:

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Sam and Nadine Landis for organizing the pancake breakfast fundraiser that was held on Oct. 22 at RJ Gators Restaurant on Lake Sumter Landing. This fundraiser supports the Kids, Cops & Christmas program.
With the help of Sam and Nadine’s neighbors and friends, and volunteers of the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office who volunteered to wait on the patrons, clean the tables and collect donations for the chance to win a $500 Wal-Mart gift card, this event turned out to be very successful.
We would also like to thank RJ Gators owner, Dan Graham for hosting this fundraiser.
We would like to thank Kathy Hynes, the manager at RJ Gators and her helpers who donated their time to come and cook for this fundraiser, thank you for the wonderful job you all did.
We cannot forget to thank each and every person who came out to support this event and we hope you will continue to support the Kids, Cops & Christmas program.
