Shirley Ann Donaldson, 74, passed from this life Friday, March 13, 2015. Born in Huntingburg, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Denver and Haley (Harlow) Smiley.
Shirley served her country in the U. S. Army during the early 1960s. She was an executive administrative assistant in the Licensing and Technology Division at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, MA. Shirley came to The Villages with her husband Jack from Burlington, MA in 2013. She enjoyed gardening and her pets, especially cats. Shirley served with the Day Breakers Club in The Villages. She was most proud of her marriage of 54 years to her husband Jack and their family.
Shirley leaves her husband, Jack, daughter, Deborah K. Donaldson and her husband Frank A. Furlo II of Milford, MA and grandchildren Frank A. Furlo III and Alexandra L. Furlo.
Funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Shirley A. Donaldson Memorial Fund c/o The First Baptist Church, 819 Mass Ave., Arlington, MA 02476 or the charity of your choice in her name.
