A shopper pushing a cart was hit Friday morning by a mini-van in the parking lot at Lowe’s.

The shopper was pushing the cart shortly after 10 a.m. near the garden section when the accident occurred, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

The shopper was transported by ambulance to The Villages Regional Hospital.

The driver was ticketed on a charge of careless driving.
