Informational signage on the multi-modal paths will be the chief topic of discussion. Some of it can be hard to read.

Informational signage will be the topic of discussion when the Multi-Modal Path Discussion Group reconvenes at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Savannah Center.

It is a public meeting and Villagers are invited to attend.

The Multi-Modal Path Discussion Group is made up of representatives from the Amenity Authority Committee, Community Development Districts 1 through 4 and the Project Wide Advisory Committee, which is made up of representatives from CDDs 5 through 10.

Concerns expressed about informational signage are readability, visibility and how useful the current signage is to visitors and new residents.

Last year, the Multi-Modal Path Discussion Group wrestled mightily with the controversial topic of side striping. While it ultimately set that idea aside, the group agreed to upgrade markings to make the multi-modal paths in The Villages safer to navigate. Among the upgrades that have been implemented are the bright yellow wishbones now in place at islands in the multi-modal paths in The Villages.

At least one CDD supervisor is hoping the Multi-Modal Path Discussion Group will take up the controversial topic of speed bumps. You can read more about that HERE
