Snowbirds from Massachusetts were shocked when they emerged from a swim at the Southside pool and discovered their rented four-seater golf cart had been stolen.
The couple, who are staying in the Village of Silver Lake, had gone for a swim Tuesday afternoon at the pool on the Historic Side of The Villages. When they returned to the pool’s parking lot, their red rented Yamaha golf cart was gone.
Two other golf carts have been stolen in the past week:
• A 2017 Yamaha golf cart was taken sometime overnight Sunday from the Villages Golf Cars on Bichara Boulevard in Spanish Springs. The rental cart had the number 7724 on the front.
• A 2013 Yamaha was stolen March 10 from a home on Del Toro Drive in the Village of Del Mar.
