FOURTH DAY OF SOFTBALL CANCELLATIONS
I feel your pain, my fellow softballers. It has been a long time since our game was cancelled for four consecutive days. In my memory, it was also during a “winter season” which is unexpected since one would expect the rainy weather during the summer and “hurricane season”. But there is light at the end of the tunnel, my brothers and sisters! The weather forecast for next week is for 70-80’s and only a slight chance of rain. And there is always something else to do in The Villages! The “chili cookoff” will be steaming at Sumter Landings today, so go drown your sorrow in a bowl of tasty chili washed down with your favorite beverage. I know it’s not softball, but maybe you’ll find a chili recipe that will hit a homerun for your taste buds. -Sal
