Soldier who lost both legs in Afghanistan to speak at Savannah Center

Retired Army SSG Brian Mast, who lost both legs serving in Afghanistan, will speak to The Villages Tea Party at 6:30 p.m. Monday evening at Savannah Center.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for the open meeting. No Villages ID is required.

For 12 years Mast was a member of the Joint Special Operations Command fighting in Afghanistan.

Mast lives in Fort Lauderdale with his wife, Brianna, and his sons, Magnum and Maverick and new daughter Madeline. He is a full-time student of economics at Harvard University, an Explosive Specialist with the Department of Homeland Security, and a tireless advocate working to bring awareness to veteran issues and many veteran non-profit organizations such as: Honor Flight South Florida, Caddy For A Cure, The Independence Fund, The Bob Woodruff Foundation, and many others.
