Special thanks from Sheriff Bill Farmer

I would like to personally thank you for your support of my 19th Annual Sheriff Bill Farmer Charity for Youth Golf Tournament.

Once again, the staff at Tierra Del Sol Golf Course did a great job signing up all the players.  This year we filled up the tournament with golfers. With overcast skies in the morning shotgun start and sunny skies in the afternoon, we finished with no rain and everyone had a wonderful time.

George Nahas Chevrolet sponsored the hole-in-one for a chance to win a Chevrolet Trax.  The Villages Golf Cars sponsored a hole-in-one for a chance to win a golf cart.  Everyone wanted to make a hole-in-one on one of these holes, but none were made.

Tepsick Insurance Agency sponsored the golf balls that all the players received in the goody bags.

With the generous support from sponsors, donors and players, we were able to achieve our goal again this year. The money raised is earmarked for Sumter County youth through scholarships and community projects.

Pictures of the tournament and a photo of the sponsors are available on the Sumter County Sheriff’s website:  www.sumtercountysheriff.org  I would like to ask you to support the businesses that made this event a successful one.

The year 2018 will be here before you know it.  I hope you will be able to help us again next year as generously as you did this year.  The 20th Annual Sheriff Bill Farmer Charity for Youth Golf Tournament is scheduled for June 2, 2018 – be sure to mark your calendar.

Again, thank you for your generous donations and sponsorships.  If my office can ever assist you with your law enforcement needs, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

William O. “Bill” Farmer, Jr.
Sheriff
