Speed bumps help save lives

To the Editor:
Can’t imagine the guy who made the decision the speed bumps in front of our gate are annoying. (You can read story HERE)
We at Bridgeport feel it helps save lives because so many carts fly in front of our cars as we enter our gate, at least the bumps help slow them down. We take such abuse at our gate with cart drivers making gestures and swearing at us as we try to enter our residence. The gate backs right onto Buena Vista, not leaving us much room to enter if there happens to be cars or trucks pulling trailers trying to get through the gate. We have without a doubt the worst entry in the entire Villages. At least the bumps help prevent accidents.
