A man pulled over for speeding on County Road 466 was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Brandon Daniel Sands, 30, of Wildwood, was pulled over at 12:22 a.m. Friday after he was spotted driving 60 miles an hour in a 45 mph zone near the entrance to the Village of Bridgeport at Laurel Valley, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
He consented to a pat-down search and a small bag of methamphetamine was found in his pocket, the arrest report indicated.
He was arrested on a felony charge of drug possession and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $5,000 bond.
