Terrible news and my heart goes out to all the family and friends involved. Many of these residential fires can be prevented with some basic safety measures. Please please please make sure you have fire extinguishers and smoke alarms working in every residence. In fact there is an incredible new fire suppressant called the Haven which suppresses fires in a 16’x16′ area.
