Steve was born on September 27, 1938 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Juan Sanchez and Rebecca P. Sanchez.
He served his country with pride in the Navy aboard the USS Essex CVA-9. He worked as a Code Enforcement Officer for the Albuquerque Police Department until retirement in 2002.
