A Stonecrest woman was arrested after she allegedly entered the vehicle of a man who was eating breakfast Wednesday morning at Darrell’s Diner in Summerfield.

The man said he saw 54-year-old Valerie Jo Marra sitting on a bench out in front of the restaurant, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. While he was eating breakfast, another patron patron advised him that Marra had moved from the bench. When the man went outside, he found Marra in his vehicle attempting to take a pack of cigarettes from a carton. When confronted, Marra handed him back the cigarettes and took off on her scooter.

He then went to Murphy gas station at the Wal-Mart in Summerfield and he spotted Marra on her scooter and saw that she was attempting to enter a car in the employee parking section.

She was arrested on charges of burglary and petit theft. She was booked at the Marion County Jail.

Earlier in the week, Marra had been the subject of a missing persons advisory issued by the sheriff’s office.
