Stonecrester surprised to find projectile lodged in wall of his home

A Stonecrester was surprised to find a projectile lodged in the wall of his home.

The 72-year-old man living on a cul de sac on SE 122nd CT contacted the Marion County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday evening after he spotted a hole in the wall of a guest bedroom.

The projectile traveled through a screen around the pool, through an exterior wall and into the interior wall. The projectile was one-inch in length and was copper but did not appear to be a bullet, according to an incident report from the sheriff’s office.

The home is located near a wooded area where people are known to hunt.
