Summerfield woman arrested hiding under tractor trailer

A 28-year-old Summerfield woman was arrested after her car collided with a storage shed at 11:30 p.m. Saturday in Wildwood.

Wildwood police were called to the 700 block of Clyde Avenue where witnesses reported seeing a vehicle hit the storage shed.

The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Amanda BeverlyKay Allen, reportedly fled the scene on foot and attempted to hide under a tractor trailer, according to the arrest report. Witnesses said that Allen told them not to tell police of her location and to help her get away from the scene, the arrest report indicated.

She was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a crash involving damaged to property and resisting an officer.

She was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center.
