Sumter County School Board to move some of its meetings from Bushnell to Wildwood

The Sumter County School Board has decided to conduct some of its monthly school board meetings in Wildwood.

Long-time Board Member Haydn Evans, a resident of The Villages, recommended the idea of resuming quarterly meetings in Wildwood.

“We aim to serve the public in the most user friendly way possible and we hope these meeting locations make it easier for the public to attend and be involved,” Superintendent Rick Shirley said.

The Wildwood meetings are scheduled for March 7, June 20, and Sept. 19 and will occur at the Sumter Professional Center located at 200 Cleveland Ave. in Wildwood.  All other meetings will be held at the Sumter County School Board Office located at 2680 West County Road 476in Bushnell. Meetings at both locations begin at 5:30 pm and are open to the public.  Access a complete list of meeting dates visit http://www.sumter.k12.fl.us/
