Sumter County Sheriff’s Office to collect unused medicine Saturday

Sumter County Sheriff’s Office will sponsor Operation Medicine Cabinet from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1 at Sweetbay supermarket located at 820 Old Camp Road at Lake Sumter Landing.

This program gives residents of Sumter County the opportunity to dispose of unused or expired prescriptions.

Operation Medicine Cabinet is offered in cooperation with the Villages Public Safety Department and Sumter County Fire Rescue.
