Sumter County woman dies when vehicle leaves roadway, strikes tree

A 54-year-old Sumter County woman was killed when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree Saturday night in Hernando County.

Diana Tracey Myles, 54, of Webster, had been at the wheel of a 2006 Ford Escape at 7:30 p.m. when she failed to properly negotiate a left hand turn and her vehicle left the roadway, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. Her vehicle then struck a tree.

She died at the scene of the accident.
