Community Development District 8 Supervisor Larry McMurry is worried about the vulnerability of landscapers working in The Villages in the wake of a contractor being struck earlier this week.
“Careless drivers kill. What can we do? That work is just inherently dangerous,” McMurry said at Friday’s board of supervisors meeting.
A landscaper was struck on Monday at Buena Vista Boulevard and Belle Meade Circle when a driver was blinded by the morning sun and did not see orange cones that had been set up. You can read more about that accident HERE
