Marion County Sheriff’s Office detectives on Friday arrested 33-year-old Myatt Lee Rickman and charged him with two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon after he robbed a Subway restaurant and convenience store at knifepoint earlier this week. Rickman was located by the Ocala Police Department on Thursday evening after he robbed the Kangaroo Express located at 3232 West Silver Springs Blvd., which is inside the city limits. Soon after the robbery occurred, OPD officers located Rickman and his vehicle in the Gaitway Plaza and discovered the money he robbed from the store and some of the clothes he was wearing during the robbery on the ground in close proximity to his vehicle.

At approximately 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, a white male suspect, now identified as Rickman, entered the Subway restaurant located at 6855 SE Maricamp Road. He held the employee at knife point and robbed the store of an undetermined amount of cash. At approximately 10 p.m. Wednesday, Rickman entered the Diamond Oil convenience store located at 3511 NE 36th Avenue armed with a knife and stole the cash drawer from the register. No one was injured during these robberies.

Rickman was booked at the Marion County Jail.
