Tavares Police Department seeks public’s help after armed robbery at 7-11

The Tavares Police Department is seeking the public’s help after an armed robbery early Wednesday morning at the at 7-11 convenience store on U.S. 441.

A black male wearing a long sleeve, red shirt, grey pants and a beanie, which was possibly covering long dread locks entered the store, pointed a gun in the clerk’s face and stole money from the register. The suspect has not been identified at this time. A possible getaway vehicle is described as a 1990s model Toyota Corolla. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
