Cody Robert Henry of Summerfield and his younger brother were in a vehicle at 9:37 a.m. Monday approaching a man in the crosswalk, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

The man apparently feared Henry’s vehicle was going to strike him and put out his arms signaling the driver to slow down.

Henry and his brother rolled down their windows, displayed their middle fingers and asked the victim if he “had a problem,” according to the arrest report. A verbal argument broke out and Henry allegedly used his head to head butt the other man. The victim wrestled Henry to the ground, prompting Henry’s brother to join in the altercation.

Deputies were on the scene of the incident at Publix at Southern Trace.
