Terry Crenshaw

William Terry Crenshaw, 65, of Wildwood, FL, went to be with the Lord Friday, October 13, 2017. Mr. Crenshaw was born October 28, 1951 in Ocala to William and Esther (Reitz) Crenshaw.

He graduated from Wildwood High School class of 1969 and Central Florida Community College. Terry was a fourth generation Sumter Countian and a member of the First Baptist Church of Wildwood. Throughout his life, Terry was a farmer and had many careers including working at Cason & Gaskins, being a partner in C&C Logging, owner of Oxford Auto Parts and most recently working at Oxford Land as a realtor. In 2008, he was awarded Realtor of the Year by Oxford Land Company, he is a graduate of Sumter County Leadership class of 2009, past chairman for the Realtors Association of Lake & Sumter Counties, member of the Government Affairs Committee for Sumter County, member of Realtors Land Institute both National and Florida Chapters of which he is a past Vice President, had been involved in the Sumter County Economic Development Council and was a member of the Tri – County Fly Fishing Club.

Terry loved everyone and worked hard to make a difference in other’s lives and for this he was loved by everyone who knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Paula; children, Sherrie and Carlos Taylor of Sparta, NC, Shange and Melisa Crenshaw of Columbia, SC, Mandy and Mike Chenault of Powhatan, VA; sibling, Becky and Tommy Milton of Oxford, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2017 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in the First Baptist Church of Wildwood with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Wildwood.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Terry’s honor to Oxford Memorial Building fund at Pine Level Cemetery Association, PO Box 420, Wildwood, FL 34785 or Oak Grove Cemetery, 1496 CR 232A, Wildwood, FL 24785.
