Thank you from Dollars for Scholars

First of all, THANK YOU! Once again our Dollars for Scholars fund raising efforts are able to make a difference in the lives of 7 VERY GRATEFUL local high school students and families.
This year we will distribute $28,000 in scholarship assistance which brings our historic total of funds distributed to local high school students to over $200,000. Through the years, with community support, we have raised over $300,000 and have additionally established a $79,000+ college based endowment that so far has generated two additional scholarships and will continue to do so in perpetuity.
We have assisted students to become: Social Workers, firefighters, dental assistants, culinary artists, research engineers, nurses, criminal justice workers, X-ray technicians, journalists and a variety of medical field workers…..to name a few.
We have created a legacy that is larger than ourselves and our community! And…we will continue to do so as long as we are blessed with generous patrons and a Villages Community who recognizes that our ability to provide scholarship assistance to local students is predicated on their continuing financial support and ticket purchases.
On November 5, 2016, Dollars for Scholars is proud to announce that it will be bringing its largest fund raising event of the year to the SHARON L. MORSE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER.

Titled: HELP US – HELP YOU- HELP KIDS – The Starry “7”Cavalcade of Stars. This musical variety program will bring to The Sharon some of the finest performers and greatest music ever assembled on one stage in our community.
Dollars for Scholars exists to fulfill a need. Community support provides the resources which allow those needs to be fulfilled.
Our motto is simple and straight forward: Every child needs a HELPING HAND – May we borrow yours.
