Theft of golf cart, vehicle burglaries under investigation at Spruce Creek South

The theft of a golf cart and several vehicle burglaries are under investigation at Spruce Creek South.

A 61-year-old resident had left his key in his 2003 Club Car golf cart on Monday as he was anticipating a repair company would be picking it up, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. Security found the cart abandoned in the 17600 block of SE 108th Terrace.

In addition, several vehicles at Spruce Creek South were ransacked either Sunday or Monday, according to the sheriff’s office.

A laptop bag and gift cards were among items reportedly taken from vehicles. Some residents reported that their vehicles were ransacked but nothing appeared to be missing.

Golf course deserves a failing grade
