Overcast skies and temperatures in the low 50’s didn’t stop thousands of Villagers from making the trek to the Polo Fields for this year’s Golfest. Dozens of vendors lined the paths with new and innovative golfing products for all to peruse.
One of the new designs offered at the festival was a state-of-the-art golf cart enclosure for all climates. Bob Schultz, a representative for Sleekline, the company that produces the doors, indicated that the new enclosure was being shown in The Villages for the first time since its inception.
“It’s got the doggy door…you can close this all from the inside,” said Schultz of the doors (pictured below). “It’s the most weather-tight enclosure on the market today,” added Schultz.
The company manufactures the products in Ocala, FL, so orders can be completed relatively quickly. Currently, the doors are available for Yamaha and EZ-Go cart models and the company will add the Club Car President model soon.
Among the many vendors at the two-day event were Ultimate Golf Cart Seating and Advantage Golf Cars who had their best products on display including new, ergonomically efficient seats and brand new golf carts. Villages’ mainstay Advantage Golf Cars had a large display of their collection of carts at the front entrance of the festival. They offer some of the most competitive rates on carts in The Villages and have a long-standing reputation for producing high-quality work (i.e., maintenance, repairs, etc.).
Ultimate Golf Cart Seating, which is a nationally-based company, offers high-density foam seat cushions that make riding in a golf cart safer and more comfortable. The seats are customized to fit any golf cart and come in a variety of options.
