A couple from Connecticut who closed on their Villages’ home on Feb. 28, were shocked when their golf cart was stolen from their new home.

The couple had parked the 2011 Yamaha golf cart in the carport of their home this past Saturday night in the 1400 block of West Schwartz Boulevard. They also had a rental golf cart parked behind the newer Yamaha cart. The thieves pushed the rental cart out onto the golf course and took off with the Yamaha. The golf cart is valued at $5,000.

They discovered the theft when they woke up Sunday morning.

That same night, a few houses down on West Schwartz Boulevard, a 1999 Yamaha golf cart was stolen from the home of a man who moved here seven years ago from Virginia. That golf cart, valued at $2,500, is green with white curtains.

A third golf cart was discovered missing this past Sunday morning by a woman living in the 1000 block of West Boone Court. Her 2000 Yamaha golf cart, which is beige with blue curtains, had a Coopers Town Hall of Fame plate on the front. Her cart was valued at $3,500.
