Three people killed in collision with tow truck in Marion County

Three people were killed in a collision with a tow truck Sunday evening in Marion County.

Travis Lee Johnson, 31, of Ocala had been driving the tow truck west at 5:52 p.m. on State Road 326 when he drove onto the shoulder, then back onto State Road 326 and the front end of his truck collided with a 2004 GMC Envoy driven by a 61-year-old man, William H. McCullough of Deleon Springs, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. He died as a result of the collision. Also killed were two passengers in his vehicle, 56-year-old Renee McCullough and 31-year-old Ryan McCullough, both of Deleon Springs.

Johnson was seriously injured and transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center.
