Three people killed when golf cart struck by Jeep Cherokee in Pasco County

Three people were killed when the golf cart in which they had been riding was struck by a Jeep Cherokee in the early morning hours of Christmas Eve in Pasco County.

The 1995 EZ GO golf cart had been driven by 23-year-old Scott Blair Wilson of New Port Richey, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. He was critically injured. Three passengers, 36-year-old Jennifer Boudreau, 28-year-old Leah Marie Kurasz and a 48-year-old Robert Fredrickson, all died at the scene of the accident. All three passengers were Spring Hill residents.

The golf cart had been struck in the rear at 2:05 a.m. Saturday by a 1999 Jeep Cherokee driven by 32-year-old Victor Valdez Jr. of Spring Hill. He was not injured.

The accident report noted that the roadway upon which they had been traveling was dark and unmarked.

Charges are pending.
