Three people taken to TVRH after crash on CR 466 and Rolling Acres Road

Three people were transported by ambulance to The Villages Regional Hospital after a three-vehicle collision Thursday evening at Rolling Acres Road and County Road 466.

Mkayla Rashay Thompson, 18, of Ocala, was driving a 2010 Toyota Corolla at about 5:30 p.m. eastbound on County Road 466 when she failed to stop for a vehicle stopped in traffic, according to an accident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. She rear-ended a 2016 Kia Soul driven by Joseph G. Vlasaty, 75, of The Villages which was then pushed into the rear end of a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Elwood Rowe, 76, of The Villages.

Thompson’s vehicle then swerved off the roadway and onto the grass.

Thomspon, Vlasaty and Vlasaty’s wife, 75-year-old Joyce Vlasaty, were all transported by ambulance to The Villages Regional Hospital.

Thompson was ticketed on a charge of careless driving.

Thompson and Vlasaty’s vehicles were towed from the scene by Kling Towing.
