Trash pickup schedule shifted for Labor Day holiday

If you are a resident of The Villages living in Sumter or Marion County and your household trash and recycling pickup is on a Monday, your pickup has been adjusted to occur on Saturday, Sept. 5. The normal pickup schedule will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
If you live in the Lake County portion of The Villages, Waste Management has indicated that there will be no Labor Day pickup and residential pickup will resume on the next scheduled pickup day following the holiday.
Residential collections for citizens living in unincorporated Lake County will be shifted to the following day for the entire week.
