Seven members of the Tri-County Tea Party Florida were in Tallahassee with Americans for Prosperity Group for the opening ceremonies for the Florida House and Senate, this past Tuesday. In addition to the ceremonies, the group visited with State Rep. Marlene O’Toole, R-The Villages, and Senator Alan Hays, R-Umatilla.
“The highlight of the three days spent Tallahassee was having to meet and hear Gov. Rick Scott who spoke to the entire group of members from American Prosperity at the old Court House at a separate meeting,” said Pamela Robin of Tri-County Tea Party Florida.
Five buses from around the state travelled to Tallahassee Monday, courtesy of Americans for Prosperity and returned Wednesday evening.
