A trio reportedly made off with more than $200 in merchandise Monday at the Wal-Mart in Summerfield.
A Marion County sheriff’s deputy made contact with a Wal-Mart loss prevention associate, who advised that he and another loss prevention associate observed two unidentified white males and one unidentified white female enter the store, according to an incident report. The loss prevention associate observed all three subjects place items into a shopping cart. The woman left the two men inside the store and exited the business. The loss prevention associate told the deputy that the suspect pulled up a car in front of the store and observed one of the male suspects push the shopping cart past all points of sale without purchasing the items and continued toward the exit.
A receipt of the stolen 43 items totaling $228.81 was given to the deputy.
