Vehicle fire briefly closes Morse Boulevard at County Road 466A

Emergency personnel were on the scene of a vehicle fire at about 7:15 a.m. Tuesday on Morse Boulevard at County Road 466A.

The fire briefly closed the northbound lanes of Morse Boulevard from CR466A to the entrance of Colony Cottage Recreation Center.

A woman had turned on the rear defroster in her car and the car caught fire. There were no injuries.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, the Villages Public Safety Department and Community Watch all responded to the scene of the accident.
