The VHA and The VHA Community Foundation are encouraging members to serve as poll workers as a way to raise money for the organizations.
The VHA has signed up for the newly created Sumter County program “Adopt-a-Precinct” which provides an opportunity for charitable organizations to raise money during election periods.
The salary that normally goes directly to the poll worker will be sent to the 501(c)3 charitable organization the VHA Community Foundation. VHA members will be working the polls on Primary Day Aug. 28, 2018 and Election Day Nov. 6, 2018 at the Sterling Heights Neighborhood Recreation Center precinct.

While helping the VHA/VHA Community Foundation to raise money for many worthwhile causes a volunteer will also be performing a civic duty.
