Village of Amelia residents overwhelmed by outpouring of support for second annual Salute to Honor Flight

Our CC Pride, a group of residents of the Village of Amelia, have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of support for their Second Annual Salute to Honor Flight of The Villages.

The fundraising event will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 7 at Colony Cottage Recreation Center. All funds raised will be donated to Honor Flight,

The event will be centered around a Chinese Auction with over 60 baskets and other items.

“We have received baskets from individuals and organizations. It’s just people telling people. Everyone wants to support our veterans.” Peg Leonard, event co-chair, said. Themed baskets, crochet bags, and artwork are among the items

Guests are asked to bring “finger foods” and a beverage. There is no cost to attend but please call (330) 565-2127 if you are planning to attend.
