Village of Belle Aire man arrested driving on suspended license

A Village of Belle Aire man was arrested in the early morning hours Tuesday on a charge of driving while license suspended.

According to the arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, it was the second driving while license suspended offense for 48-year-old Gary Brenton Lee who resides on Reston Drive in The Villages.

He had been driving at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on Buena Vista Boulevard when he was pulled over by a sheriff’s deputy. A computer check revealed that Lee had been previously convicted of driving while license suspended in 2003 in Broward County.

He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center where bond was set at $1,000.
