A Village of Charlotte woman was arrested after driving her golf cart down County Road 466A.
Kristi Jo Kramer, 56, was at the wheel of the golf cart shortly before 8 p.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department. She had been eastbound and was past the intersection with Micro Racetrack Road with several cars following behind her. The red golf cart had been traveling at 25 miles per hour, the report indicated.
When a police officer was able to pull over the golf cart, Kramer fumbled through her wallet and attempted to offer credit cards as her means of identification. It appeared she had been drinking. She was asked to perform field sobriety exercises, but refused several times. After she was placed in the back of a patrol car, an inventory of the golf cart revealed she had an empty 100ML bottle of Fireball and two full 200ML bottles of Svedka vodka.
She provided breath samples that registered .178 and .195 blood alcohol content.
Kramer was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence and issued a civil citation for driving with a suspended license. She was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $1,000 bond.
