Village of Lake Deaton woman won’t be prosecuted after altercation with live-in boyfriend

The prosecutor’s office has decided not to proceed with a case of battery involving a woman arrested in November in the Village of Lake Deaton.

No information will be filed in the case of 53-year-old Melissa Jane Glazier, according to records on file in Sumter County Court.

Sumter County sheriff’s deputies had been called in November to a home in the 700 block of Ironwood Lane. Glazier admitted to a deputy that she had struck her live-in boyfriend of 15 years. He declined medical treatment of a small laceration on his ear, according to the arrest report.
